By following these simple tips, you can ensure that your experience with eyelash extensions is as positive and comfortable as possible.
Many of us enjoy starting our mornings with a cup of coffee, but did you know that this habit can actually make your lash appointment less enjoyable? Caffeine and other stimulants can make our lashes flutter, making it harder for the technician to apply the extensions correctly. In addition, it can keep us from relaxing and enjoying the appointment, as we’ll be too focused on staying awake. So next time you’re booked in for lash extensions, make sure to skip the coffee beforehand and enjoy a relaxing cup afterward instead. Your lashes will thank you for it!
In order to get the most out of your lash extension service, it is important to arrive with clean lashes. Residual oils and makeup will only prevent the adhesive from properly bonding, resulting in poor retention. Your lash stylist should not spend more than a few minutes cleansing and prepping your lashes. This means that less time is spent cleaning and more time is spent applying lash extensions, resulting in a fuller, more flattering look. It is also important to note that facial and brow makeup is perfectly acceptable to wear to your appointment; however, if you must wear eye makeup, it is best to book a morning appointment. This will ensure you have time after your appointment to apply your eye makeup.
It’s important to avoid using oil-based products around your eyes before the appointment. Oil can cause the adhesive to break down, making it difficult for the lashes to stay in place. It will decrease your retention dramatically, which will result in you needing more frequent fills.
One of the biggest tips we can give you is to dress comfortably for your eyelash appointment. Keep in mind, based on the type of set you booked for, you’ll be spending at least an hour lying down, so it’s important to be comfortable. Comfortable clothing will help you relax and enjoy the time being pampered.
You will be laying for at least one hour for a fill and two hours for a full set. Many people enjoy listening to music or podcasts during their eyelash appointments, so they bring their headphones with them. This can help to pass the time and make the experience more enjoyable. However, there are also some practical benefits to wearing headphones during an appointment. Firstly, it can help to cancel out any noise from the spa, making it easier to relax. Secondly, it can help time go by faster. Lastly, it can be a way of indicating to the technician that you would prefer not to talk during the procedure. This can be helpful if you want to take a nap or simply spend some time in silence.
Clients are always advised to come in a little early to their eyelash extension appointment. This gives you time to fill out any paperwork and also gives your lash tech a chance to answer any questions you may have. It also means that they can start your treatment on time or sometimes even a bit early, without having to rush.
We know that your time is precious, and we want to make sure that you get the most out of your appointment.
Basically, if your natural lashes are reasonably healthy then yes eyelash extension is fine for you. Eyelash extension is done by attaching individual artificial lashes to your natural lashes. So regardless of your age group, if your lashes are healthy then eyelash extension is fine on you.
The main reason for eyelash extension is to create nice long thick looking yet natural lashes.
