Aloe vera is a huge trend right now in the natural skincare world. With summer just around the corner and those itchy sunburns lurking too, I want to go over some basic benefits of aloe vera and which products I recommend for different skincare needs.

Aloe vera is a great moisturizer for sensitive and oily skin types. This is because it’s actually made of mostly water, so it helps hydrate without leaving that greasy, icky residue. Plus, it locks in moisture, acting as a glue for the top layer of your skin cells. Thus, it holds in the moisture to create a more smooth and soft finish to your skin. This is true for both your face and your hands!
Did you know that aloe can help fight against acne? Aloe vera is an antibacterial product that contains salicylic acid, which helps exfoliate the skin and unclog pores. Plus, as an added bonus, its anti-inflammatory properties help reduce those dreaded oil waves.
