Treatment Stacking Explained: How Combining Skincare, Facials, and Lasers Delivers Better Results

Posted: February 23, 2026

Facial balancing— a term that has recently become more popular and for good reason. Facial balancing entails taking a full-face, full-skin approach to aesthetics. The goal is to make sure everything blends well, and results appear as natural as possible. Here at Atalo, our goal is just that- natural, noticeable results. It is important to understand that aging is multi-factorial and that one treatment cannot solve all concerns. The aging process will change your skin quality, muscle movement, collagen loss, and volume depletion. Rather than focusing on one single treatment, it is highly beneficial to combine some of our tools here to get the best results. Optimal results will come from combining skincare, facials, lasers, toxins, and volume restoration. Following along in this blog to learn more about why this is so important to us and should be to you as well.

What Is Treatment Stacking?

In order to obtain full-face results, we recommend stacking different treatments together or combining them in a strategic way. Treatment stacking is a form of layering treatments that address different depths and mechanisms of aging to help the face as a whole. Below is a list of some of the treatments we offer and what they can benefit:

  • Skincare → cellular health & barrier function
  • Facials → exfoliation, hydration, circulation
  • Lasers/Radiofrequency → pigment, texture, collagen stimulation
  • Toxins → dynamic (muscle) wrinkles & prevention
  • Fillers & biostimulants → structural support & volume
  • PRP/PRF → regenerative healing & collagen signaling

The Foundation: Medical-Grade Skincare

One of the foundational components of obtaining beautiful, healthy skin is skincare. Skincare is a non-negotiable base layer to reaching your personal skin goals. Taking care of your skin helps you have a strong layer that supports every further treatment. It helps prepare your skin for lasers and injectable treatments. It can also enhance your response to treatments such as PRP/PRF.

Another example is helping maintain the longevity of your filler treatments by improving overall skin quality. When your skin feels good, everything we do in the office is going to feel and be that much better! Though skincare can feel overwhelming and confusing, here at Atalo, our goal is to personalize it to you. We are here to help you understand what products are recommended and how to use them. Some products we recommend focusing on in your routine include retinoids, antioxidants, growth factors, and SPF.

Facials: Enhancing & Maintaining Results

Facials are a great way to help maintain your results. Think of facials like the deep clean out and/or exfoliant of your skin. They are functional treatments that help your overall skin health and maintenance. When stacked with some of our other treatments, the facials can help skin recovery with laser treatments, PRP absorption, and hydration of the skin barrier. Facials are also highly beneficial in maintaining the skin’s glow between injectable and laser appointments.

Lasers & Energy-Based Treatments: Improving Skin Quality at Depth

Lasers and energy-based treatments are some of our most popular treatments here. These treatments work below the skin’s surface to help with pigmentation, redness, texture, and laxity. They are incredible for collagen stimulation and remodeling, and also help with anti-aging benefits. Lasers are always recommended to be paired with skincare. If you are investing your time, money and energy into making big changes to your skin, then using skincare products will be required to maintain your laser results. With some of our laser and topical treatments PRP can also be combined during the treatment to help enhance your healing and results. Another great option to pair with lasers is toxin treatments. A lot of us are concerned with our wrinkles. In order to capture those, we need to help the skin quality topically as well as slow down the muscle movement. These treatments in combination will help give you smooth, glowing skin!

Toxins: Preventing & Preserving Results

Toxins such as Botox and Dysport are utilized to help relax muscles. In doing so, the dynamic wrinkles that form from the muscle movement are softened. Toxins do not, however, treat your skin or help improve volume loss. As a result, it is imperative to still take care of your skin through the use of skincare and topical treatments like lasers, and also think about volume restoration as we age for full results.

When stacked with other treatments, toxins can help with long-term results. Toxins can help relax muscles near filler treatment areas, which can often help the filler integrate more smoothly and preserve the placement of the filler.  Toxins can also help protect collagen stimulated by lasers and biostimulants.  These treatments are some of the easiest, least downtime options to help soften or smooth fine lines and wrinkles, but they are not a stand-alone treatment for the best overall results.

Restoring Volume: Filler, Sculptra & Regenerative Treatments

As we age, we lose volume throughout our whole face. Bone becomes absorbed, and fat pads also descend.  There are several different ways to restore volume, including hyaluronic acid-based fillers, Sculptra, and regenerative treatments like PRP/PRF.  Some of the injectables yield immediate structure and contour, while others work gradually over time to help with collagen stimulation and long-term support. PRP/PRFare regenerative therapies that use your own growth factors. These are commonly used for undereye rejuvenation, hair restoration, and healing. Volume restoration works best when stacked with our other treatments to help the skin itself be healthier. When you have healthy, smooth skin, the filler will look more natural, noticeable, and feel like it lasts longer. Laser treatments combined with filler will also help improve the overlying skin quality for smoother results. Our focus here at Atalo is a natural, facial-balancing approach without overfilling.

As we have discussed above, this treatment plan will include a multifactorial approach to get you the best results possible.
