Contour TRL: Nanolaser Peel, Microlaser Peel, & Deep Resurfacing
Contour TRL from Sciton is a full-field resurfacing laser designed to address a variety of skin concerns such as skin laxity (tightness), enlarged pores, lines and wrinkles, scars, pigment issues, and more. TRL stands for “Tunable Resurfacing Laser,” meaning we can fully customize this treatment for each patient.
With Contour TRL, you have three treatment options: NanoLaser Peel, MicroLaser Peel, and Deep Resurfacing. Each of these skin rejuvenating laser treatments works at different depths and levels of invasiveness, depending on your specific skin concerns and goals.

Nanolaser Peel
The least invasive of your Contour TRL treatment options. This is a quick, yet powerful treatment that will leave you with a brighter, more even complexion. The NanoLaser Peel is often referred to as the “lunchtime peel” and can help treat fine lines, dullness, and other skin imperfections. You’re left with smoother, polished, and youthful-looking skin.
With only a few hours of downtime and visible results within 3-5 days, patients can expect soft, supple, and glowing skin without the harshness or extended downtime of other laser treatments.
Common treatment areas include the face, neck, and hands, but it can be done on virtually any part of the body.

Microlaser Peel
A step up from the NanoLaser Peel, the MicroLaser Peel is an anti-aging laser treatment that works to minimize irregularities on the skin’s surface, such as rough texture or dull tone, pigmentation from sun damage, lines and wrinkles, and enlarged pores.
Patients can expect minimal downtime (7-10 days) with the MicroLaser Peel, alongside collagen-stimulating benefits over a period of six months.

Deep Resurfacing

The deep resurfacing treatment is ideal for those seeking a thorough correction for these advanced signs of aging. This powerful laser treatment reaches deep into the skin to promote collagen renewal and enhance skin resilience, leaving your complexion visibly smoother, tighter, and more refreshed.
Please Note: For optimal results and even facial coverage, this treatment is almost always paired alongside another laser resurfacing options, such as a MicroLaser Peel or Halo.

FAQs
As everyone’s skin responds to treatments differently, treatment plans will vary patient-to-patients and some may need more or less treatments than others.
For NanoLaser Peels, patients may require 1-5 treatments. For MicroLaser Peels, 1-3 treatments. Deep Resurfacing treatments may require 1-2 treatments.
- NanoLaser Peels: with only a few hours of downtime and a couple of days of total recovery time, patients can expect results within 3-5 days.
- MicroLaser Peels: 7-10 days of downtime and patients can expect noticeable results within a few weeks up to a period of 6 months.
- Deep Resurfacing: 7-14 days of downtime and patients can expect gradual results over a period of 6-12 months. It is normal to experience some residual redness in the treated areas that could last for a few months, proof that your body is continuing to heal and stimulate new collagen.
As each of these laser treatments addresses different skin concerns, works at varying depths and levels of invasiveness, and requires various downtimes, it can be hard to know which treatment you should pursue.

- NanoLaser Peels: 15-30 minutes (topical anesthetic is optional, but not required).
- MicroLaser Peels: 45-60 minutes (with a topical anesthetic).
- Deep Resurfacing: 45-60 minutes (with a topical anesthetic, nerve blocks, and/or Pronox).
Prior to your appointments, you will receive all of the necessary information and pre-care required so that you come fully prepared. Following pre-care instructions for any service helps us deliver the most effective treatment possible.
The same goes for post-care, which you will receive once your treatment is done. We highly recommend thoroughly reading through your post-care instructions, as following these as closely as possible will ensure the best possible results for your skin.
You will be able to access all pre- and post-care instructions in your patient portal at any time once you are an established patient with us.
