What is Halo?

Halo is a state-of-the-art laser treatment that eliminates years of damage and restores your youthful skin. As you age, your skin develops sun spots and wrinkles, contributing to the loss of your bright, healthy skin tone. This laser treatment works wonders at removing any deep damage to the skin. It precisely targets the right depth and restores the luminous glow.

Take advantage of the PRP Add-On to take it to the next level or pair the treatment with BBL for optimal results; you can learn more about BBL here.

Why Halo?

  • Customizable treatment to precisely target skin damage
  • Improvement in the appearance of tone, texture, fine lines, and wrinkles
  • Reduces pore size
  • Increases reflectivity and glow
  • may improve acne

Halo is a great alternative for those who’ve tried peels or other light-based treatments but find they need deeper targeting for the results they want to see. (Peels and treatments like BBL are a good place to start if you want a more surface-level treatment or are new to skincare.)

FAQs

Halo precisely targets years of damage to your skin, including:

  • FRECKLES, SUN DAMAGE, & AGE SPOTS
  • UNEVEN SKIN TONE INCLUDING MELASMA
  • REDNESS & ROSACEA
  • ENLARGED PORES & EXCESSIVE OIL PRODUCTION
  • TEXTURE INCLUDING FINE LINES AND WRINKLES
  • ACTIVE ACNE & ACNE SCARS

The most common areas include the face, neck, chest, and hands.

A topical anesthetic and integrated cooling technology are used so most patients experience very little discomfort. Most patients describe the treatment as a feeling of heat with occasional prickling sensations.

After the treatment, most patients will continue to feel warm for an additional 1-2 hours or longer with deeper treatment levels.

The appointment is scheduled for 2 hours, but the actual treatment time is only 10-30 minutes. This ensures you have adequate time to numb, ask questions, and discuss your goals without feeling rushed.

We typically recommend a halo treatment on a yearly basis.  If there is a prominent amount of texture and hyperpigmentation, a series of halo treatments may be recommended initially.

We also offer Halo with PRP (see add-on pricing), which uses the growth factors from your own blood to produce even greater results! Prior to treatment, we’ll draw your blood and then have it spun down in a special centrifuge to extract the PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma). These growth factors contain regenerative properties that can help to further stimulate collagen and repair.

The PRP is applied immediately following your Halo treatment, allowing the skin to absorb it while you cool down afterward.

For a full list of pre-care steps, please refer to your patient portal. A brief rundown includes:

  • Stop Retinol 5-7 days before Halo
  • No active tan or recent sun exposure
  • People prone to cold sores need pre-treatment with an antiviral medication
  • People prone to acne need pre-treatment with an antibiotic
  • Wear sunscreen every day

For a full post-treatment plan, please refer to your patient portal. A brief rundown includes:

  • Sleep in an elevated position for the first 2-3 nights
  • Do not scratch or exfoliate your skin until MENDS exfoliate off naturally
  • Avoid the sun and strenuous exercise until the skin has completely healed
  • Use provided skincare kit daily

Results can be seen 7-10 days post-treatment.  The skin will continue to improve weeks to months after your halo treatment as collagen stimulation still occurs.

For more information, please refer to your patient portal. Our licensed providers will work with you to minimize discomfort and/or side effects.

  • Redness (first 48 hours)
  • MENDS (microscopic epidermal necrotic debris) will appear on days 3-7
  • Pinpoint bleeding during treatment
  • Swelling/edema, most commonly around the eyes
